Attorney Profile
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE YOU CAN DEPEND ON
Randall Sharp is a graduate of University of West Georgia, earning his bachelor's degree in economics. After graduating from West Georgia, he attended the Florida Coastal School of law, graduating with pro bono honors for his commitment to community service. While in law school, Randall obtained an internship at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugaslavia and the International Criminal Court, both located in The Hague, Netherlands. It is during this internship that Randall found his passion for criminal defense. It was immediately apparent that for the criminal justice to function properly, there must be experienced defense attorneys, who zealously advocate for their clients in order to hold the prosecution to their burden of proof. Otherwise, individual rights and freedoms continue to become stripped away, usually starting with the people who need them the most, the poor and indigent.

After law school, Randall passed the Georgia BAR exam on his first attempt. He eventually started working with the Dougherty Public Defender's Office in 2012, where he learned to become an effective criminal defense attorney from some of the best criminal attorneys in the state of Georgia. It was during his time at the Dougherty County Public Defender's Office that he was honored with the Assistant Pubic Defender of the Year Award, for his outstanding work in representing his clients, by the Georgia Association of Circuit Public Defenders.

In 2015, Randall married his beautiful wife, Amanda and moved back to Smyrna, Georgia. Amanda currently works in the medical field and is taking classes in order to become a physical therapist. Randall places a great importance upon family life and his wife helps keep him grounded. It is with his wife's support that he was able to start his own law practice. Randall is also close to his sister, Tansy Ridings and her immediate family. Tansy along with her husband, John, and their two kids, Owen and Eryn, are all residents of Cobb County and Randall could not have become an attorney without the support of all their help.

In 2015, Randall started working for the Clayton County Public Defender's Office and continued to advocate on behalf of the less fortunate. Eventually, he transferred to the Georgia Capital Defender's Office, where he represented clients who were facing the ultimate punishment, the death penalty. Even though this was a life time goal, fighting for the lives of people who are being judged for something that occurred on the worst day of their life, Randall still wanted to help more people.

It is this reason that led Randall to start his own law firm, a Sharp Georgia Law Firm. So no matter how minor, you believe your offense is, Randall will zeolously advocate for your rights. And no matter how severe your offense may be, Randall has the experience that is required to ensure a just outcome.

During his off time, Randall enjoys traveling the globe and wants to experience as many different cultures as possible. In addition to traveling, Randall enjoys running and has ran the Georgia and Albany Marathons on several occasions.
